Sooo, we’re an upholstery shop?
It seems that somewhere in the blur of the last few months that TLC became an upholstery shop. And a pretty good one, too. I can’t really take the credit for it, it’s all Laura. Every stinkin’ stitch of it. I’m darn proud of her, too. I can’t really say that I’ve seen her apply herself to learning a new craft, or work, as hard. Ever. She’s really gotten good in a very short period of time.
But you don’t have to take my word for it. Here are pictures of a few of her projects. If anyone has upholstery work they’d like to get done, the current rate is $30/yard of fabric needed for labor, you buy the fabric, plus we bill for any additional materials needed like foam, batting, etc.
For more info or quotes, give us a call/text on 901-601-0158 or drop us an email: turningleafcrafts@aol.com.
Thanks!
Michael
This settee took about 8 yards of fabric plus foam and batting. We also reconstructed the back legs.
In progress. Laura always strips a piece all the way down to the bones and pulls all of the old staples before going back with new fabric. It’s a lot of work, but it makes for a better finished product.
I’m so fancy!
Tufting and buttons are no problem, either.
Gold...bam! Laura collaborated with Starkey Brown on this one.
Fancy schmancy... another collaboration with Starkey Brown.
